Old Powers of Attorney: Time to Update?

How old is your (or your parents') power of attorney? I suggest that you check this document. This seemingly easy boilerplate document can cause all kinds of havoc. In a recent case last week, a client lost thousands of dollars because she had not updated her power of attorney since Ronald Reagan was President.
Some POAs are valueless, as PA law changed in 1999 and these POAs will not be honored by banks, the Recorder of Deeds, etc.
